Select the pump technology around the application
Industrial pump selection starts with what the system must move and how the pump must operate. Progressive cavity pumps can be particularly effective for viscous, abrasive, solids-bearing and shear-sensitive fluids where controlled positive-displacement flow is valuable. Vertical turbine pumps address a different duty: moving water and other suitable liquids from wells, sumps and other installations where the pumping element operates below the discharge head.
ACCA evaluates the operating envelope before recommending equipment. The objective is to match pump technology, size, materials, speed and drive requirements to the actual service rather than force every application into one pump type.
