Roper® 70200 Series Pump Parts
Standard pin-joint progressive cavity pump replacement parts
ACCA Pumps supplies independently manufactured aftermarket replacement parts for supported Roper® progressing cavity pump configurations. Use the complete pump figure number and material construction when selecting replacement components.

Roper® 70200 Series Overview
The Roper® 70200 is the standard pin-joint family in Roper’s conventional elastomer-lined progressing cavity pump line. It is designed for difficult pumping services involving highly viscous, abrasive, shear-sensitive or solids-bearing materials. The rotor and elastomer-lined stator form a positive-displacement pumping element that moves fluid through progressing cavities with smooth, controlled flow.
Standard Pin-Joint Drive
Roper identifies configuration digit 2 as the conventional pin-joint arrangement. Drive-end parts must still be matched to the complete installed pump figure.
75 PSI per Stage Reference
Roper’s current size and specification information uses 75 PSI per stage with clean water as the conventional-line reference. Actual application limits depend on pump size, speed, viscosity, inlet conditions and construction.
Multiple Materials
Roper’s nomenclature identifies cast-iron external construction, hard-chrome-plated steel or stainless internals, and several stator elastomers depending on the complete material code.
How to Identify a Roper® 70200 Pump
Roper’s figure number is an identification system, not a performance calculator. The complete Figure, Spec, Serial and Type information should be used when selecting replacement parts.
| Figure Element | Identification Meaning |
|---|---|
| First digit — 7 | Traditional rubber-lined progressing cavity pump series. |
| Second digit | Number of pumping stages. |
| Third digit — 2 | Standard pin-joint drive configuration. |
| Displacement digits | Approximate theoretical displacement identifier. Do not derive actual performance from the figure number alone. |
| Material code | Identifies external construction, internal construction and stator elastomer. |
Identification rule
Do not construct or select a pump from nomenclature alone. Roper states that not all theoretical figure-number combinations are possible. For replacement parts, send ACCA the complete nameplate information and existing part numbers whenever available.

Rotors
Replacement rotors for applicable 70200 configurations. Roper documents chrome-plated hardened alloy steel and chrome-plated stainless constructions in its renewal-parts literature.
Stators
Elastomer-lined stators selected by pump size, material code and process compatibility. Published conventional-line elastomer codes include NBR, natural rubber, EPDM, FKM and HNBR.
Drive Shafts
Drive-shaft components identified from the complete pump figure, material construction and drive-end configuration.
Connecting Rods & Pins
Connecting rods, pins, bushings and related pin-joint hardware for supported configurations.
Bearings
Drive-end bearings and associated service components for applicable 70200 models.
Packing, Seals & Hardware
Packing, seals, retainers, washers, gaskets and miscellaneous overhaul hardware where applicable.
Engineering Considerations for Roper® 70200 Pumps
Pressure & Stage Count
The conventional-line reference is 75 PSI per stage with clean water. Confirm actual duty pressure, stage count and operating conditions before selecting the pumping element.
Viscosity & Inlet Conditions
High-viscosity materials can require lower speed and careful inlet design. Adequate product feed to the rotor/stator element is essential for reliable operation.
Abrasive Service
Abrasive fluids make rotor surface condition, stator material and operating speed especially important to service life.
Shear-Sensitive Products
Progressing cavity pumps provide smooth positive-displacement transfer and are commonly selected when product handling must be comparatively gentle.
Solids-Bearing Fluids
The 70200 family is intended for difficult fluids, including solids-bearing services, but particle characteristics and inlet conditions should be reviewed for each application.
Elastomer Compatibility
Fluid chemistry, temperature and solids can affect stator selection. Preserve the complete material-code suffix when requesting replacement parts.
Industries & Applications
Roper® conventional progressing cavity pumps are used across wastewater and industrial processes where difficult fluid properties make conventional centrifugal pumping less suitable.
Wastewater Treatment
Sludge transfer, polymer service and other viscous or solids-bearing wastewater duties.
Chemical Processing
Metering and transfer applications involving viscous, shear-sensitive or difficult process liquids.
Pulp & Paper
Process streams and slurries where positive displacement and solids handling are useful.
Oil & Gas
Thick, dirty and abrasive fluids, including selected chemical-additive and process-transfer duties.
Food Processing
Viscous and shear-sensitive product transfer where the correct sanitary and material construction is specified.
General Industry
Adhesives, coatings, slurries and other difficult-to-pump industrial materials.
70200 vs. Oversized Roper® Drive-End Families
The 70200 is the standard pin-joint baseline. Roper uses other families when the application requires additional drive-end capacity or a different joint architecture.
| Family | Drive / Joint Arrangement | Relationship |
|---|---|---|
| 70200 | Standard pin joint | Conventional baseline family. |
| 70300 | Oversized pin joint | Next-larger drive end with a standard 70200 pumping element. |
| 70600 | Double-oversized pin joint | Drive end two sizes larger with a standard 70200 pumping element. |
| 70400 | Crowned gear joint | Separate sealed gear-joint architecture for demanding service. |
Before Ordering Roper® 70200 Parts
Send the complete pump identification
For the most reliable cross-reference, provide the Roper® Figure, Spec, Serial and Type numbers, the existing component part number, quantity, material construction and stator elastomer. Photographs of the nameplate and removed part can also help confirm the correct replacement.
Frequently Asked Questions
What type of joint does a Roper® 70200 use?
Roper’s conventional nomenclature identifies configuration digit 2 as the standard pin-joint design.
What is the pressure reference for the conventional Roper® progressing cavity line?
Roper’s current size and specification information states 75 PSI per stage with clean water. Actual operating limits depend on the complete pump and application.
Can I identify a replacement part from the 70200 model number alone?
No. Use the complete Figure, Spec, Serial and Type information plus material construction and existing part numbers whenever possible.
What 70200 components can ACCA supply?
Depending on configuration, ACCA can support rotors, stators, drive shafts, connecting rods, pins and related hardware, bearings, packing, seals and miscellaneous service components.
Are 70300 and 70600 pumping elements related to the 70200?
Yes. Roper states that the 70300 uses the next-larger drive end with a standard 70200 element, while the 70600 uses a drive end two sizes larger with a standard 70200 element.
