Progressive Cavity Pumps for Pulp & Paper
ACCA progressive cavity pumps provide controlled positive-displacement handling of pulp stock, coating color, starch, black liquor and other viscous or solids-bearing mill streams.
Controlled positive-displacement flow for mill processes
A progressive cavity pump uses a helical rotor and elastomeric stator to create sealed cavities that move continuously from suction to discharge. Flow is approximately proportional to rotational speed, giving ACCA pumps predictable delivery across many viscous, fiber-bearing and solids-containing pulp and paper streams.
The low-pulsation pumping action and variable-speed capability are useful where process flow must be controlled. For stock, coating formulations and concentrated liquors, ACCA evaluates cavity filling, viscosity, fiber or solids content, differential pressure and operating speed together rather than sizing from water-like conditions.
Materials, consistency and temperature matter
Paper stock can vary in consistency and fiber character, while coating color and starch may change viscosity with formulation and temperature. Black liquor and other process liquors introduce concentration, temperature and chemical-compatibility requirements. ACCA uses these conditions to select pump displacement, speed, stages, rotor surface, stator elastomer, seal arrangement and drive torque.
Pulp & paper progressive cavity pump applications
Coating Color & Starch
Steady transfer of coating formulations, starch and viscous mill additives.
Black Liquor & Process Liquors
Viscous process-liquor transfer with attention to concentration, temperature and materials.
Data ACCA uses for pump selection
Provide flow, suction and discharge pressure, stock consistency or solids content, viscosity, temperature, fiber characteristics, chemical composition, cleaning conditions, duty cycle and suction arrangement. For replacement duties, existing pump model, speed and connection information help ACCA evaluate a drop-in configuration.
Connect the application to pumps and parts
ACCA supports complete progressive cavity pumps and replacement rotors, stators, joint components and other wear parts. As the new-pump model architecture is expanded, this hub will connect mill applications to suitable pump families and model-specific engineering pages, while existing parts resources support maintenance and replacement demand.
