Progressive Cavity Pumps for FGD Slurry

Controlled positive-displacement pumping for limestone, gypsum and other solids-bearing flue-gas-desulfurization process slurries.

Scrubber Slurry Service

Positive displacement for solids-bearing FGD streams

FGD systems handle limestone reagent, gypsum-bearing slurry and wastewater streams whose solids content and abrasiveness can challenge pumping equipment. Progressive cavity pumps can provide steady controlled flow for selected transfer, feed and sludge duties when speed, materials and inlet conditions are matched to the slurry.

Selection Framework

Abrasion, chemistry and speed determine reliability

Particle hardness and concentration affect rotor/stator wear, while chloride content, pH and temperature can influence wetted-material compatibility. Selection should cover the complete slurry range rather than a nominal water-based duty.
