Progressive Cavity Pumps for Crude Oil Transfer

Positive-displacement pumping for viscous crude oil and oilfield transfer duties where steady flow, suction performance and changing viscosity matter.

Oilfield Transfer

Controlled transfer across changing crude-oil conditions

Crude oil properties can vary considerably by field, temperature and water or solids content. Progressive cavity pumps provide predictable displacement and can be well suited to viscous crude transfer when the pump is selected for the full operating envelope rather than a single design point.

Selection Framework

Viscosity, temperature and suction are connected

As crude temperature falls, viscosity can rise sharply and increase inlet and piping losses. Pump displacement, speed, suction-line geometry and available inlet pressure should therefore be evaluated together. Solids and water content can also influence material selection and wear.
