Capacity control through positive displacement
Progressive cavity pumps can provide repeatable chemical feed where viscosity, shear sensitivity or solids make conventional dosing equipment less suitable. Pump capacity is adjusted through operating speed, allowing controlled delivery across a defined range when the pump and drive are correctly sized.
Define both ends of the dosing range
Selection should include the minimum stable feed requirement as well as maximum capacity and pressure. Chemical composition, concentration and temperature determine wetted-material compatibility, while viscosity and suction conditions influence cavity filling at higher speeds.
