Progressive Cavity Pumps for Adhesives, Resins & Polymers

Controlled positive-displacement transfer for viscous adhesives, resins, polymer solutions and shear-sensitive chemical formulations.

Viscous Chemical Transfer

Predictable flow for difficult formulations

Adhesives, resins and polymer solutions can combine high viscosity with sensitivity to excessive agitation or shear. Progressive cavity pumps provide positive displacement with capacity related to speed and can be applied to transfer, circulation and controlled-feed duties when the pump is selected for the complete rheological and chemical operating range.

AdhesivesGlues and bonding formulations
ResinsViscous process and formulated resins
PolymersSolutions, concentrates and additives
Controlled feedVariable-speed process delivery
Selection Framework

Viscosity, chemistry and suction must be evaluated together

High-viscosity products can create substantial inlet losses. Pump displacement, speed, suction-line geometry and available inlet pressure should be considered together. Chemical composition, cleaning fluids and temperature also influence stator elastomer, seal and wetted-metal selection.

ViscosityMinimum through maximum operating range
TemperatureStartup, process and cleaning conditions
SuctionAvailable inlet head and piping losses
ShearProduct sensitivity where applicable
MaterialsElastomer, rotor, seal and metallurgy
ControlRequired turndown and VFD range
