Controlled pumping for variable organic material
Manure and digestate can vary substantially in solids concentration, fiber content and viscosity. Progressive cavity pumps can provide controlled transfer of pumpable mixtures, but the inlet arrangement and operating speed must allow the material to reach and fill the pumping cavities reliably.
Design the inlet for the most difficult consistency
Dense or fibrous material may not flow freely through restrictive suction piping. Selection should consider solids concentration, viscosity, fiber length, tank geometry, available inlet head, differential pressure and duty cycle together.
