Progressive Cavity Pumps for Agricultural Biogas Feedstock

Controlled positive-displacement feed for pumpable manure, organic slurries and agricultural feedstock entering anaerobic digestion systems.

Anaerobic Digester Feed

Controlled feed for variable organic slurries

Agricultural biogas feedstock can vary substantially in consistency as manure, process water and other pumpable organic material are blended. Progressive cavity pumps can provide controlled digester feed when the mixture remains pumpable and the inlet system allows reliable cavity filling.

Selection Framework

Design around the highest expected solids and fiber loading

Feedstock consistency, fiber length and viscosity affect inlet flow and torque. Hopper or tank design, suction-line restrictions, differential pressure, duty cycle and available speed should be considered together rather than sizing only from nominal flow.

SolidsMinimum through maximum concentration
FiberLength and bridging tendency
SuctionHopper, tank and inlet losses
SpeedCavity filling and wear
PressureDigester and piping resistance
