Progressive Cavity Pumps for Agriculture

ACCA progressive cavity pumps handle manure, digestate, biogas feedstock, liquid feed, molasses and other viscous or solids-bearing agricultural fluids with controlled positive-displacement flow.

Progressive Cavity Pump Technology

Why progressive cavity pumps fit agricultural fluids

The helical rotor and elastomeric stator form sealed cavities that continuously move product from suction to discharge. Flow is approximately proportional to speed, allowing ACCA pumps to provide controlled transfer and feed even as viscosity and solids content vary.

This operating principle is particularly useful for pumpable manure, digestate, organic feedstock and viscous feed ingredients. Low-pulsation delivery and variable-speed operation support controlled digester feeding, transfer and batching while the open flow path can accommodate many solids-bearing agricultural streams.

Engineering for variable consistency

Agricultural fluids can change with season, storage time, water content and process conditions. ACCA therefore evaluates the most difficult credible operating condition, including solids and fiber content, viscosity, density, temperature, particle size, suction geometry and required differential pressure.

Data ACCA uses for agricultural pump selection

Provide flow, suction and discharge pressure, solids percentage, fiber content, maximum particle size, viscosity, density, temperature, duty cycle and inlet arrangement. For manure and biogas feedstock, describe how consistency varies and whether material is mixed before entering the pump.

Pumps, wear components and long-term support

ACCA supports complete progressive cavity pumps together with rotors, stators and joint components. As new-pump model pages are expanded, this application hub will connect directly to suitable ACCA pump families, model data and replacement-parts pathways.
