356 Configurations
The 356 family includes 35601, 35604, 35611 and 35613. Construction varies by complete model designation, so replacement selection should be based on the full installed model and application conditions.
Packing Flush Guidance
For abrasive service, the packing can be water flushed to reduce leakage beneath the packing and excessive shaft wear. Flush water is introduced through the 1/8 in NPT stuffing-box connection. Where a controlled flush is used, maintain stuffing-box pressure approximately 10–15 psi above discharge-housing pressure.
Temperature and Viscosity Limits
500 Series elastomer options include NBR, EPDM and FPM, with temperature limits of 10–160°F, 10–210°F and 10–240°F respectively. Maximum fluid viscosity is 20,000 cP. Speed guidance ranges from 1750 RPM at 1–300 cP down to 100 RPM at 10,000–20,000 cP.
Operating Notes
Do not run dry. Maintain at least 10% of rated capacity for lubrication. With wetted pumping elements, suction lift can reach 25 ft at 1750 RPM with piping equal to port size.
