Why the MTX Frame Matters
ANSI B73.1 standardizes important external dimensional relationships, but it does not make every manufacturer’s internal component identical. Frame identification is therefore essential when cross-referencing shafts, sleeves, bearing housings, seal chambers and other power-end components.
For a complete replacement pump, send the required flow, head, liquid, specific gravity, temperature, solids information, materials, seal preference, motor data and existing pump identification. For parts, send the pump size, frame, serial number, existing part number and photographs whenever possible.
